Dr. William F. Rinehart is the owner of South Strand Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, located in Georgetown, South Carolina, and is affiliated with South Strand Dental Specialties located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Dr. Rinehart is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons.

His professional goals are to provide the most technologically
advanced, as well as, genuinely caring services to the community.
Dr. Rinehart is a former resident of Aiken, South
Carolina, and a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Aiken High
School, in Aiken, South Carolina. He was chosen as one of ten
recipients of the prestigious Carolina Scholars Scholarship
Program, a full academic scholarship in 1971. He graduated
Summe Cum Laude from of the University of South Carolina
Honors College, in Columbia, South Carolina. He earned his
Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the College of Dental
Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina in
Charleston, SC. He completed a two year hospital residency in
Oral Medicine at North Carolina Memorial Hospital, at the
University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 1980. Dr. Rinehart
then entered the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency
program at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where
he served as chief resident in 1983. Dr. Rinehart maintained
an active practice for fifteen (15) years in the Grand Strand area before founding
Palmetto Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Implant Center. He is currently on the staff of
Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Rinehart continues his education and training by attending
seminars and continuing education courses throughout the
United States and Canada, in order to provide his
patients with the most advanced techniques and finest quality
care. Also of worthy note,
he has personally sponsored biannual Dental Implant meetings
, featuring many
nationally known speakers for the past eight years. He served
as president of the Grand Strand Dental Society during
1996-1997. He is a Diplomate of the American Board
Oral And Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is a member of:
Dr. Rinehart is married to Perri M. Rinehart who is the mother
of their two teenage children. She is a registered pharmacist
and maintains current licenses in South and North Carolina.
He is a resident of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, in Georgetown
County.
Dr. Rinehart's greatest interest, as you can see, lies in the
Dental Implant field; having successfully placed over three
thousend (3,000) implants.
Dr. Rinehart somehow manages to enjoy his family and outdoor
hobbies with equal enthusiasm. He is an avid supporter of
many wildlife organizations, including
South Carolina Wildlife Federation, Ducks Unlimited, South Carolina Waterfowl Association, and the National Wild Turkey Federation.
